I was confronted by this image of Jesus as a beggar while visiting the campus of Francican University in Steubenville, OH for a conference. Jesus as a beggar is depicted in a life-sized sculpture tucked around the front corner of the school's chapel. I was frozen in my tracks confronted by the open hand of our Savior. I pray this image serves as a reminder to care for the least of our brothers and sisters and Christ commands us to.
